Teach Now is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Hackney, London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young learners and contributing to a positive, nurturing classroom environment.
You will be joining a school known for its warm ethos, creative teaching approaches, and strong commitment to pupil wellbeing. Working closely with the KS1 team, you will support children with both academic tasks and social development, including those with additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide in-class support across KS1, assisting with phonics, literacy, numeracy, and group activities
• Work 1:1 or in small groups to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and other TAs to support pupil progress
• Assist with classroom organisation, learning resources, and behaviour management
• Encourage confidence, independence, and a love of learning
