Overview
TipTopJob is recruiting in Nottinghamshire, England, United Kingdom for a Site Engineering Manager. Our client is an industrial processing business, part of a larger group, with multiple sites in the UK. They are looking for a proactive and driven Site Engineering Manager to develop the existing team and support the move into a brand new facility in 2026.
Responsibilities
* Manage a team in the engineering department, with a view to grow.
* Be involved in the start up / set up of their new modern facility.
* Project management of commissioning new machinery, visiting suppliers in Europe.
* Work closely with other site engineering managers in the UK, visiting their sites.
* Manage and develop the existing team through the move to the new site.
* Ensure the delivery of maintenance in line with KPIs and budget targets.
* Implement new SOPs, PPM plans, SSOW, method statements, training plans.
* Manage contractors coming into the existing site and commissioning the new site.
* Contribute to continuous improvement projects, asset care management, health and safety.
Qualifications
* Self-starter with the ability to drive the team, with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm.
* Established engineering manager with 5–10 years of experience.
* Project management experience would be beneficial.
* NVQ Level 3 or higher in engineering.
* NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (ideally).
* Willing to travel to other sites in the UK and visit OEM suppliers in Europe.
* Experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments.
* Experience implementing SOPs, SSOW, PPM plans, and supplier/contract selection.
* Hands-on approach, able to get involved with the team at the new site.
* Experience managing budgets and CAPEX projects.
