If you have a passion for supporting scientific learning and enjoy working with students and staff, this is the role for you!Role OverviewAs a School Science Technician, you will be providing support to the Science department and assisting in the preparation of practical lessons. This is a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to work alongside teaching staff to deliver a high-quality science education for the students.Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical science lessons.
* Assist in the maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment.
* Ensure the safe storage and disposal of chemicals and materials.
* Support teacher during practical lessons and experiments.
* Maintain a safe, clean and organised environment.
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
* Support the teaching staff with general administrative tasks, including photocopying and creating learning resources.
Key Requirements
* Experience working in a science-related environment within a school or educational setting.
* Good knowledge of health and safety regulations within a scientific context.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
* A proactive attitude with the ability to solve problems efficiently.
* A relevant qualification in Science.
* Previous experience in a technician role is preferred.
