JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION MANAGER
RESPONSIBLE TO: NATIONALPRODUCTION MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE: To manage the Production Team to ensure that production is maximised within the budgetary parameters at all times. Staff management and moral are key to the requirements of the position.
SALARY BAND: £32,000.
HOURS: Monday to Friday 7am – 4pm. Overtime may be required.
HOLIDAY: 22 Days + Bank Holidays.
PLACE OF WORK: BRISTOL BRANCH which is located at 3 Deans Road, Trading Estate, Avonmouth, Bristol, BS11 8AT
REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Experience in Production & Warehousing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Direct line management of production employees in daily activities.
Ø Ensure that all production areas are manned to accepted levels.
Ø Demonstrating good leadership and organisation skills supporting the National Production Manager in delivering 100% on time delivery to all Customers on a daily basis.
Ø To organise the production environment to ensure all employees are clear about their individual roles and responsibilities and expected output.
Ø To ensure that each section of the production line is being optimised to its full capacity all of the time.
Ø Monitor and complete 5S audits within production areas.
Ø Maintain quality standards set by Quality Control Manager.
Ø Assist with identifying areas for improvement within the production area.
Ø Assist wherever deemed necessary by the National Production Manager.
Ø To minimise, control and ensure all wastage is recorded.
Ø Reporting any sickness or absences.
Ø To participate in the Company stock check as and when required in conjunction with the Group Purchasing & Sourcing Manager.
Ø Pro-active in outlook seeking answers and solutions to issues before they arise, and reacting quickly to changes in demand.
Ø To inform the Management team when company standards are not being met.
Ø Support in cover of production areas when short staffed.
Ø Overseeing maintenance of machinery and troubleshooting any issues.
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Assist in development and promote the culture of continuous improvement, thereby recommending and implementing authorised changes.
Ø Comply with Health & Safety regulations at all times.
Ø Maintain good housekeeping of the department including the equipment within it.
Ø Ensure high standards of conduct, appearance and behaviour are met at all times.
Ø Communicate effectively with all team members, colleagues and management team.
Ø Participate in the company stock takes when necessary.
In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the job holder is required to perform any other duty requested by Management from time to time.
