Job Title: Buyer

Hourly rate: £18 per hour PAYE
Location: Stoke-On-Trent
Overview:
Managing & liaising with current suppliers. Being responsible for placing orders and managing the processes. Supporting operational supply chain using MRP System.
Responsibilities:
* Purchasing of materials.
* Preparation of supply chain documentation & quotations.
* Supporting the Senior Buyer in selecting suppliers.
* Daily review of MRP Systems.
* Develop and manage vendor relationships with the objective of developing Quality, Cost & Delivery performance.
* Raise Purchase Orders in line with production requirements.
Professional Skills/Abilities:
* Good communication skills with people at all levels
* Computer literacy – good knowledge of Excel & Word essential and Access preferable
* A working knowledge and use of ERP and MRP for BOM, scheduling, forecast analysis, and capacity planning.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
* Excellent attention to detail
