The Desktop Administrator II (“Desktop Administrator”) maintains and manages distributed desktop and laptop systems and software, including, but not limited to, installation, configuration, preventive maintenance, operation, and problem-resolution activities. This role also includes responsibilities related to deployment planning and execution, ensuring systems are efficiently rolled out and configured according to organizational standards.

11. Assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of systems, including deployment of hardware and software across multiple environments
12. Assists users with questions or problems
13. Assists with system backups and recovery, and installation of new software
14. Trains employees; identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures; and orders and replaces parts as needed
Client:
15. Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs, including deployment-ready solutions
16. Administers Microsoft® Exchange mailboxes and users in Active Directory
17. Installs, configures, and troubleshoots server applications and racks for servers, supporting deployment and rollout activities
18. Administers Active Directory and DNS, including troubleshooting as needed
19. Administers print subsystems, electronic software, and patch distribution, with a focus on deployment efficiency and consistency
20. Administers PC auditing function to ensure deployment compliance and asset tracking

21. Assists system administrators with complex technical tasks, including debugging and supporting hardware modules and systems during deployment
22. Coordinates, moves, and reconnects computer equipment as part of deployment and relocation activities
23. Maintains hardware inventory, spare-parts log, and work log to support deployment tracking
24. Completes installation and swap-out of server hardware, including server, disks, and communication gear
25. Documents and maintains system configurations for disaster recovery and deployment consistency
26. Sets and maintains Firm standards for desktop operating systems, desktop anti-virus software, disk imaging software, laptop disk-drive encryption software, and desktop shrink-wrap software applications
27. Maintains desktop computers, laptop computers, and computer printers with current BIOS/firmware
28. Maintains desktop operating systems with current security patches
29. Maintains disk images with current versions of operating system and shrink-wrap applications for deployment use
30. Ensures desktop software license compliance
31. Maintains current versions of Firm software on end-user systems
32. Contributes to efficiency improvements by process automation, including deployment workflows
33. Assists with other projects as needed
Education and Experience:
34. High-school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) with two to four years related desktop administration experience.
Computer Skills:
35. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic knowledge of Microsoft® Word and Access and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Excel, Outlook, Internet navigation and research, systems administration tools, and scripting and automation tools.
Certificates and Licenses:
36. Valid driver's license required. User Operating Systems, Microsoft® Exchange, and Active Directory certifications preferred.
