Service & Warranty Technician
Location: Redditch
Salary: £13/hour (40 hours per week)
Role Overview
To work within the Service and Warranty department, assisting in maintenance, repair, refurbishment and overhaul. The role involves diagnosing faults, handling customer returns and supporting internal quality and service processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Book in and book out returned products using SAP and the RMA process
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repair, refurbishment and overhaul of returned products
• Inspect returned items, identify faults and troubleshoot issues
• Produce clear written reports detailing findings and repair outcomes
• Handle customer returns and provide technical support where required
• Liaise with the Quality team regarding product issues and failure analysis
• From time to time, provide on-site support when required
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Follow company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements
Skills and Experience
• Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment preferred
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Mechanical and basic electrical knowledge
• Soldering skills are an advantage
• Computer literate, with experience using SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel desirable
