We are the embedded hiring partner to a leading and growing accountancy firm operating a structured 4 Day Working Week as a permanent part of its model.
An opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to step into a role focused on developing people, shaping training standards and strengthening professional progression across the firm.
This is not a pure L&D role. It is a practice-facing leadership position for someone who understands accountancy at a technical level and wants to help others succeed within it.
The Role
You will take responsibility for professional training, qualification support and structured career development across the practice.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will:
* Oversee professional qualification pathways such as ACA, ACCA, ATT and CTA
* Support exam success through structured frameworks and accountability
* Deliver and facilitate technical training sessions and workshops
* Help build clear career pathways and competency standards
* Support managers in developing future Partners and senior leaders
* Maintain CPD oversight and ensure professional compliance
You will remain close to the profession while shaping how development is delivered across the firm.
This is a hands-on position combining structure, coordination and practical delivery.
About You
You are likely to be:
* A qualified accountant within practice
* A Manager or Senior Manager who enjoys mentoring
* An experienced professional who wants to move into a development-focused leadership role
You will bring:
* Strong technical grounding within accountancy practice
* A genuine interest in coaching and mentoring
* Confidence delivering training or facilitating group sessions
* Organised thinking and a structured approach
* The credibility to engage with Partners and senior stakeholders
