Our client is located in the West Midlands and they are looking for someone for their pricing department.
Monday - Friday 9am-530pm
Salary £30-34k
Duties Include:
1. As a team we regularly monitor the sales mailbox throughout the day - Emails will require filing/actioning or categorising accordingly. This is a team effort.
2. Take charge of quote requests from our US customer base.
3. You will be required to continually develop your knowledge and relationships with our carriers in the UK & USA.
4. Research and action routing requirements - This will involve looking at our customer’s requirements, carrier’s services, rates & margins.
5. Research and action customer quote requests.
6. Build quotes within our freight software or on an excel worksheet.
7. As a team we consistently monitor current rates/bookings to ensure every booking has a valid quote.
8. Provide sell rates to our operations team for road freight shipments and all ad hoc charges.
9. Load carrier rates onto relevant excel documents.
10. Monitor market trends and take action to always secure the best rates.
11. Research and provide quotes to our overseas agents.
12. Assist customers & our operations team with finding workable solutions in any given situation.
13. Quote follow up and feedback.
14. Document all quotes & NRAs in a central location.
