Job Description
3. Lead the development and implementation of IT procurement strategies to ensure value for money and efficiency.
4. Manage supplier relationships to optimise performance and deliver on agreed service levels.
5. Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the IT category.
6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement goals accordingly.
7. Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve the best possible terms for the organisation.
8. Monitor and manage IT category budgets effectively, ensuring compliance with financial targets.
9. Develop and maintain robust procurement policies and procedures.
10. Report on key performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Category Manager - IT should have:
11. A strong background in procurement and supply chain management, particularly within the IT category.
12. Proven experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
13. Knowledge of market trends and best practices in the business services industry.
14. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to drive value through procurement processes.
15. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
16. A relevant professional qualification in procurement or supply chain management is desirable.

18. 25 days annual leave rising to 30 after 1 year (plus bank holidays)
