This is a remote, client-facing role requiring a highly technical and commercially aware pre-sales professional with proven experience in secure Government environments.Key Responsibilities Lead technical discovery sessions and support the full sales lifecycleAct as a trusted technical advisor to Public Sector clients and internal stakeholdersTranslate complex technical requirements into clear business value propositionsSupport product demonstrations, PoCs, and troubleshooting activitiesCollaborate closely with product and engineering teams to provide market feedback and influence roadmap directionContribute to RFP/RFI responses, technical documentation, and whitepapersBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, integrators, and service providersIdentify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accountsRepresent the organisation at industry events and customer engagementsKey Requirements Minimum 5+ years experience in IT, with at least 2+ years in a pre-sales, network engineering, or technical support roleDemonstrable experience working within UK Government or Public Sector environmentsActive SC Clearance (essential)Strong technical knowledge of: Cisco routing, switching, gateways, and network applicationsTCP/IP, SNMP, NetFlow, VoIPLAN/WAN architectures (MPLS, Frame Relay, ATM)Network security principles and infrastructure designUnderstanding of cloud and virtualisation technologies (SDN/NFV, public/private cloud)Familiarity with performance and monitoring tools (e.g.
ArcSight, Tivoli, HP OpenView, EMC SMARTS)Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently at senior and C-suite levelRelevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE (or equivalent experience)Willingness to travel within the UK (approximately 6070%)Desirable Experience Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical/military backgroundExposure to cybersecurity tools and concepts (e.g. packet capture, Wireshark, Zeek)Familiarity with tools such as Riverbed, ExtraHop, A10, Arbor NetworksExperience contributing to technical strategy, whitepapers, or solution design documentationUnderstanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001Pre-sales methodology training (e.g. Sandler, Afterburner)Additional Information This is a remote-based role; however, the successful candidate must be comfortable with regular UK travel for customer meetings (typically 34 days per week during active engagement periods), as well as occasional industry events and internal sessions.Candidates based in Central or Southern UK are preferred, although exceptional candidates in Northern England will also be considered.TPBN1_UKTJ
