Warehouse Manager
Job purpose
To take overall responsibility for all aspects of the efficient operation of the Wooburn Green warehouse, as well as the accurate, timely and consistent fulfilment of customer orders.
To recruit, train, manage and develop all warehouse staff as required for optimum efficiency, cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
To communicate and work effectively with all other departments and the senior management team.
To supervise 3 direct reports including stores persons and driver.
Key accountabilities
* To understand all procedures relating to the smooth and safe running of the WG warehouse,
ensuring documentation is correctly processed
* To understand all Company Health & Safety, Quality
and regulatory compliance
policies relating to the warehouse and premises.
* To optimise the storage capacity, layout, equipment, resources, warehouse systems and processes to ensure accurate movement of the companys products.
* To optimise efficient stock rotation, stock monitoring and security processes in and around the warehouse including trade collections.
* To manage / negotiate with suppliers (couriers etc) to provide an
error-free
service at the best possible value.
* To maintain a quarantine area and implement procedures for non-conforming items from suppliers and customer returns.
* To oversee the planned maintenance of
all warehouse
vehicles, machinery and equipment.
* To partake in appraisals and disciplinary matters with respect to the warehouse personnel
Experience
Significant experience in a similar role, as well as detailed knowledge of the industry and products.

Annual salary: £35k +
Branch-based profit share after probation
