About the Role

We're looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join our team in Helensburgh. This is a 12 Month FTC (Fixed Term Contract) and offers the option of a 4 day working week or 9 day fortnight and hybrid working with typically 2-3 days onsite per week (depending on business needs)

Key responsibilities include:

1. Preparing month end journals including accruals and prepayments
2. Ensuring accurate recording of all transactions processed on the corporate purchasing card
3. Ensuring all banking transactions are processed including posting direct debits into ledger
4. Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
5. Raise orders within the purchasing system as requested by buyers
6. Good receipt items within the purchasing system once delivered
7. Process one-off supplier payments
8. Provide support with the year-end audit
9. Ad hoc task to support the Financial and Management accountant
The successful candidate must achieve the appropriate level (SC) of security clearance. More details can be found .

Required skills, qualifications and experience

10. Experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Administrator or similar Finance Support role
11. Excellent stakeholder management skills
12. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be agile and adapt to changing priorities
13. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
14. Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
15. Keen attention to detail
16. Highly organised and pragmatic approach and able to deliver to set deadlines

Lockheed Martin UK – Strategic Systems (LMUK SS) is the single contractor providing specialist Waterfront In-Service Support to one of the Royal Navy's Submarine Programs.
