Legal Director, Marketplace UK
This could be your chance to practice pioneering law for an innovative global tech company! eBay seeks an agile and creative senior attorney to join the legal team leading eBay’s UK Marketplace Legal team.

What you will accomplish:
* Lead a team of talented UK Lawyers who support and guide the business team in general legal matters, developing and inspiring them.
* Develop and support the legal strategy for key areas, ensuring compliance as a major ecommerce platform.
* Work as part of a global leadership team, sharing best practices and fostering a strong and cohesive culture across regions and teams.
* Enable internal teams to deliver an outstanding buyer and seller experience, embracing appropriate levels of smart risk.
* Build strong collaborations with functional groups within the company on transactional work and policy review, including Finance, Accounting, Corporate Development, Marketing, Tax, Information Security, Privacy, Trust, and Risk.
What you will bring:
* 12+ years of post-qualification experience in the technology space, preferably with multi-jurisdiction platform-based business models.
* Ability to develop, inspire, and manage a team of legal professionals.
* Proven ability to think strategically and work across a complex matrix of global collaborators, providing strong legal analysis and practical business recommendations.
* Experience managing and delivering multiple top-priority projects independently.
* Ability to build positive relationships quickly and interact comfortably with junior to senior business leaders.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Flexible and agile problem solver, capable of navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
* Passion for innovation, being a change maker, and continuous improvement.
* Willingness to handle a variety of projects with scope for flexibility.
Experience in the following areas is desired:
* Privacy/data protection
* Regulatory compliance
* Intellectual property
* Consumer protection
* Commercial structuring, drafting, and negotiation
* UK qualification as a lawyer
