Basil James Financial Services is a well-established mortgage and protection advisory firm, formed in 1998 and widely respected across the South West. With a strong reputation, loyal client bank, and consistent flow of new enquiries, we are now looking to expand our adviser team.
We are seeking an experienced, self‑employed Mortgage Adviser who is motivated, client‑focused, and ready to grow their business within a supportive, partner‑led environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for providing high‑quality mortgage and protection advice, delivering clear, compliant, and well‑researched recommendations tailored to each client’s needs. This role would suit an adviser who already has at least 2 years’ industry experience and an existing client bank or introducer relationships, and who is looking for the flexibility and earning potential of a self‑employed model.
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mortgage advisory role
* An existing client bank and/or introducer relationships
* Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
* A professional, ethical, and client‑first approach
* Ability to manage your own diary and workload effectively
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of mortgage and protection products and FCA requirements
