Achievement Support Assistant Role:
* You'll work closely with students who require extra assistance to achieve their academic potential. This might include those who are falling behind in certain subjects, struggling with specific concepts, or facing barriers to learning.
* You'll assess students' current abilities and track their progress over time. This may involve conducting informal assessments, reviewing coursework and assignments, and observing their performance in class.
* You'll collaborate closely with classroom teachers to align your support efforts with the curriculum and instructional goals. Regular communication with teachers will help ensure that your interventions complement classroom instruction and reinforce key concepts.
* You'll help foster students' confidence and self-efficacy by providing positive reinforcement, constructive feedback, and encouragement. Empowering students to take ownership of their learning and celebrate their achievements is an essential aspect of your role.
* Engaging in professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in areas such as differentiated instruction, assessment strategies, and educational technology will enable you to better support students' achievement goals.
The successful candidate will:
* Have previous experience working as an achievement support within an educational setting.
* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing academic or behavioral challenges.
* Hold relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field.
* Are passionate about supporting the learning and development of student and making a positive difference in their lives.
