Job Title: Temporary Assistant Management Accountant

About the Role:
We are working on behalf of a respected and growing business based in Leicester to recruit a Temporary Assistant Management Accountant to provide interim support during a period of staff sickness. This is a hands-on role ideally suited to someone who can hit the ground running and support a small, friendly finance team with month-end processes and day-to-day reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Maintain accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
* Support balance sheet reconciliations
* Aid in cash flow reporting and forecasting
* Help with budget tracking and variance analysis
* Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date
* Provide general support to the Finance Manager during the absence of the permanent team member
About You:
* Experienced in a similar accounting/finance role
* Comfortable with month-end routines and financial reporting
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficient in Excel and commonly used accounting systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, QuickBooks)
* Able to adapt quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment
* Available immediately or on short notice
