This is an excellent opportunity for an immediately available, technically strong Financial Controller who enjoys a varied role.
About the Role:
The Financial Controller will oversee all aspects of the finance function. This position requires a hands-on accountant with a strong technical background and the ability to lead a small finance team.
Responsibilities of the Financial Controller include:
1. Preparation of statutory accounts and financial reporting.
2. Oversight of monthly management accounts and associated reporting packs.
3. Delivery of management information and financial analysis.
4. Liaising with external auditors, banks, and internal stakeholders across the business.
5. Leading, mentoring, and developing a small finance team.
6. Ensuring robust financial controls and processes are in place.
7. Supporting strategic decision-making through accurate and timely reporting.
The successful Financial Controller:
8. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
9. Immediately available or available at short notice.
10. Strong technical accounting skills, with experience in statutory and management reporting.
11. Proven experience in leading a finance team.
