Protocol are proud to be working with an established FE college group based in Greater Manchester in their search for an experienced Head of MI Data for a permanent position with a salary of £46,233 – £50,862 per annum.
This College group have various campuses across the Greater Manchester. Their aim is two-fold – to provide an inclusive educational offer that serves the needs of their local community and to provide a career focused curriculum that meets the skills needs of businesses across the region, enabling individuals to further their employment prospects. They currently offer academic education (A Levels and GCSEs), adult education, apprenticeships, community learning, higher education, and vocational/technical education – including delivery of the new T Levels.
We are working closely with this college group’s HR department who is currently looking for an experienced Head MI Data to oversee the development and monitoring of the college performance management systems and will work closely with the Assistant Principal
Role responsibilities
1. To manage the Group MIS team for and associated processes, ensuring Group strategic and improvement objectives are implemented and embedded.
2. To oversee the curriculum planning process and course master file for the delivery of all college provision, and validation of plans against business planning objectives.
3. Ensure the college website is kept up to date with accurate, and sector leading course information.
4. To lead on the production of regular ILR files and external HE (Higher Education) Data Returns, managing errors to ensure data returns and funding reports are accurate, complete, and compliant, and ensuring return deadlines are met.
5. To lead on the main college enrolment activity, working closely with the MIS Team Leader, Examinations Manager, Exams Team Leaders to ensure effective plans are in place across all sites. Leading on the training and awareness of enrolment eligibility for learners and keeping curriculum colleagues up to date with latest information.
The person & qualifications
6. Expert knowledge of Further and Higher Education funding rules, compliance requirements and returns
7. Knowledge of ESFA funding assurance practices, including data compliance and controls
8. Knowledge of writing reports using SQL server tools
9. Knowledge of OFS funding assurance practices, including data compliance and controls
