Role: Coffee Service Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Service Manager to lead our vending service operations and ensure seamless delivery of technical support, maintenance, and repair services. This role involves managing the service desk, overseeing a team of field service engineers, and ensuring best-in-class client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the service desk operations, ensuring prompt handling of client service requests, machine breakdowns, and maintenance inquiries.
Supervise, support, and coordinate a team of field service engineers, scheduling daily assignments and ensuring adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
Monitor and analyse service performance metrics (e.g., response times, first-time fix rate, downtime) and implement improvements as needed.
Develop and enforce maintenance schedules, including preventive and corrective maintenance for vending machines and related equipment.
Manage spare parts inventory, procurement, and usage to ensure timely repairs without excessive stockholding.
Proactively liaise with clients to resolve escalated service issues and ensure the highest levels of client services are delivered consistently.
Build and document operational processes that empower the team to deliver best-in-class service.
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align service strategies with broader business goals.
Prepare regular reports on service performance, workforce productivity, and client feedback.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a service management or field operations role, ideally within vending, catering equipment, or similar industries.
Strong understanding of vending machines, refrigeration units, or electromechanical systems.
Experience managing technical teams and coordinating multi-site service operations.
Proficient in using service management software and MS Office Suite.
Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
Strong presentation skills to enable clear communication to senior management and clients.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Valid driver’s license as travel to clients’ sites will be required from time to time*
