POSITION SUMMARY

Here's what a day in your life could look like:
* Responsible for leading our finance team.
* Ensure accurate accounting practices and oversee a budget of up to $3.5 million.
* Analyze reports, support fundraising efforts, and guide the organization towards fiscal responsibility.
* Strategic architect:
* Partner with the Executive Director, crafting a roadmap for House of Mercy's continued success.
* HR Champion
* Partner with outsourced HR, to ensure a positive and compliant work environment for our 30-person team. From onboarding to benefits, you'll be the go-to for employee needs.
* Facilities Orchestrator
* Work with our facilities team, guaranteeing a safe and secure haven for residents.
* Oversee contracts for security, technology, and maintenance.
WHO YOU ARE
You'll be successful if you're a financially leader with a heart for service and:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Nonprofit Management.
* 7-10 years of experience in a supervisory role with financial and administrative responsibilities.
* Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and audit processes.
* Proven ability to manage a multi-million-dollar budget (ideally $3.5 million or more).
* Comfort with financial software such as QuickBooks (a plus).
Leadership and Communication:
* Proven experience in non-profit administration, with 7-10 years of progressively responsible leadership roles.
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Human Resources:
* Experience with HR processes (a plus but can be gained through working with outsourced HR).
* Familiarity with ADP or similar HRIS software (a plus).
Analytical Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions.
Compliance:
* Ability to ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws and regulations.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including tax filings, insurance coverage, and governance policies.
