Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Finance Support, the Senior Finance Support Officer will ensure the personal finances of over 2000 vulnerable adults are accurately recorded and monitored. This involves delivering finance training and conducting audits across all services.

Objectives
* Contribute to the group's business objectives through high-standard financial support and control.
* Maintain a robust internal controls framework with regular audits and staff training.
* Improve cash flow through procurement projects and policy improvements.
Practical Expectations
* Conduct remote and on-site financial audits, providing feedback and challenge.
* Develop internal controls, policies, and procedures with senior finance colleagues.
* Deputise for the Head of Finance Support when needed.
* Monitor supplier services for value and effectiveness.
* Assist with loss and theft investigations.
General Management
* Participate in procurement tenders and responsibility allocation.
* Develop and deliver financial training programs.
* Monitor financial risks and develop strategies, including internal audits.
* Perform other duties as assigned to support group objectives.
Relationships
* Provide financial guidance and support to colleagues at all levels.
Essential Criteria
* Extensive accountancy experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Proficiency in computer and Microsoft Excel
* Own car and UK driving license
* Willingness for overnight stays and flexible hours

* Welsh language skills
* Experience in delivering training
* Finance qualification
