A welcoming and well-resourced specialist school in Maidenhead is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full time. The school supports children and young people with autism and provides a highly supportive, therapeutic environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential. In this role, you’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You’ll play a key part in helping students develop communication, independence and life skills through structured learning and personalised support. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism Support learning activities tailored to individual EHCP targets Help manage behaviour using positive and consistent strategies Encourage communication, social interaction and independence Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families Support pupils with personal care where required Requirements ✅ Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or similar) A patient, nurturing and proactive approach Strong teamwork and communication skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Right to Work in the UK At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
