Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service and ensuring vital records are accurate? If so, we invite you to join our Registration Service team at Lancashire County Council as a Registration Officer!
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Working on our busy ceremony programme, registering or conducting statutory ceremonies at our registration offices or at external approved venues, including religious buildings. All premises attended will be within the boundary of Lancashire County Council.
Our Ideal Applicant Will:
1. Have excellent customer service skills, putting the customer at the heart of every conversation.
2. Be organised and have good time management when completing tasks.
3. Possess strong digital skills to create and maintain accurate records promptly.
4. Be a confident communicator, able to deal with a wide range of customers, remaining personable while asking technical questions and operating within a legal framework. Full training on our processes will be provided.
We have opportunities in East Lancashire at Burnley Registration Office and Accrington Registration Office.
These roles are annualised contracts, meaning you will work your hours over the year (e.g., 312, 416, or 520 hours), but weekly hours will vary depending on demand. The salary will be pro-rata. Work patterns are agreed in advance, with flexibility for occasional work outside the pattern. You will provide your availability 2 months in advance for scheduling.
