Jackson Hogg are pleased to be working with an exciting process engineering organisation in the search for an Electrical Maintenance Technician.
Role Description
This role focuses on maintaining and improving the performance of electrical systems and infrastructure across the site, ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and compliant manner. The position plays a key part in minimising downtime and supporting efficient day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with the setup, installation, and commissioning of new electrical assets.
* Provide input into maintenance strategies, including forward planning, risk evaluation, and documentation updates.
* Oversee the upkeep and performance of a wide range of electrical equipment, spanning power distribution, control systems, and safety-related components.
* Ensure all critical protection and safety mechanisms are regularly checked and remain fully operational.
* Deliver scheduled maintenance activities in line with agreed plans and timelines.
* Carry out proactive inspection and monitoring tasks to maintain asset integrity and support reliable operation.
* Conduct inspections and remedial work on equipment operating within regulated or hazardous environments.
* Diagnose faults, respond to equipment failures, and implement corrective and improvement actions.
* Work closely with colleagues and third-party providers to maintain effective and consistent service standards.
* Perform routine system checks, including validation of alarms, trips, and protective functions.
Experience:
* Relevant experience as a time-served Electrical Technician with level 3 Diploma
* Experienced with various industrial process industry electrical equipment.
* Knowledge of HV & LV systems and VSDs.
* Experience with complying with Safe Systems of Work (PTW, LOTO, MOC etc)
* Accredited COMPEX certification desirable but not essential.
Salary – Up to £45,000 inclusive of shift allowance
