and main responsibilities
You will be responsible for the supervision and training of a range of healthcare personnel within the capacity of Invasive Cardiac Physiology providing a comprehensive training programme, competency, and performance assessment, adhering to professional guidelines to ensure clinical and patient safety.
You will also take an active role in the day-to-day management of the Cardiac Physiology service and deputise for the Head of Cardiac Physiology Service Manager during periods of absence.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or recognised equivalent (BTEC or HNC MPPM)
2. BHRS / IBHRE accreditation
Desirable criteria
3. Managerial & Leadership qualification
4. Professional registration (RCCP, AHCS, HCPC)
Experience
Essential criteria
5. post-qualification experience at a highly specialist level in Cardiac rhythm management
6. Evidence of contributing towards service development
7. Experience of training and mentoring junior staff
8. Evidence of Staff Management including recruitment, appraisal etc.
9. Experience and evidence of procurement of medical equipment and managing consumable stock control
Technical Skills
Essential criteria
10. Evidence of ability to independently perform advanced clinical practice in invasive physiology
11. Evidence of effective communication skills both written and oral
12. Evidence of training and supporting staff working towards BHRS accreditation.
Desirable criteria
13. Evidence of Quality Assurance and Clinical Governance practice
Knowledge
Essential criteria
14. Knowledge of all published BHRS guidelines and BHRS accreditation processes.
15. Knowledge and understanding of NHS structure, organisational policies and current developments in the NHS
