Quantity Surveyor (Graduate) Newry £34,000 to £45,000 Full-time - Permanent Black Fox Solutions are pleased to be working with a leading construction and engineering organisation to recruit a Graduate Quantity Surveyor for their Newry-based team. The Role As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will support the Senior QS and wider commercial team across all aspects of project cost management, reporting, procurement, and contract administration. Youll play a key role in ensuring projects are commercially successful, accurately reported, and delivered to the highest standards of governance. Key Responsibilities Commercial Support Assist with the preparation of internal commercial reports and client cost reports. Prepare valuations/applications for payment with full supporting documentation. Support the development and maintenance of procurement schedules for subcontractors and materials. Administer subcontractor accounts from requisition through to final account agreement. Support contract administration, change management, and maintenance of commercial registers. Assist with cost control, cost mitigation, and identification of commercial risks and opportunities. Maintain accurate site records and assist with WBS structures to meet client/contract requirements. Support the preparation of Cost-to-Complete reporting and risk analysis. Contribute to change events, EOT claims, and final account workflows. Team & Project Engagement Promote strong commercial awareness within project teams. Work closely with site teams to ensure adherence to internal processes and governance. Support margin improvement and cashflow management initiatives. Corporate & Professional Development Participate in client engagement and feedback initiatives. Engage in ongoing business improvement and learning & development activities. Carry out all work in line with health, safety, environmental, and company procedures. About You Essential Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. Full driving licence. Strong understanding of standard forms of contract and methods of measurement. Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Desirable Previous placement or experience in a commercial or construction environment.
