Assistant Accountant required for a client based at Bournemouth Airport Business Park. The company is currently in growth and is looking to recruit an experienced person to support this finance function. You will work closely with both the Transactional Processing team and the Financial Controller to support the growth of the business and ensure the month end accounts are produced to time and quality.
* Manage monthly bank reconciliations for bank accounts to ensure all entries are posted to the ledger and any outstanding items have been actioned to clear
* Assist in processing monthly income in line with company revenue policy
* Review overhead spends for reasonableness and compare to budget
* Identify costs requiring prepayments, post them to the ledger and manage their release throughout the year
* Responsible for providing any identified liabilities in line with company Finance policy
* Review and update all fixed assets and post depreciation to the ledger monthly
* Review, reconcile and clear the balance sheet codes under your responsibility
Key skills and experience
1. Minimum AAT level 3 or foundation stage accounting qualification essential
2. Educated to a good level of general education, to include literacy and numeracy
