GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher for a full-time, permanent role based in Christchurch. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons that support pupils with a range of special educational needs. The role focuses on enabling pupils to thrive both academically and personally, while working closely with support staff and external professionals to deliver effective interventions. Special Educational Needs Teacher Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet a range of learning needs Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Work closely with support staff to ensure effective learning strategies are in place Monitor, record, and report student progress in accordance with EHCPs Liaise with parents, carers, and multi-agency teams to provide a collaborative approach to support Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being Contribute to the wider school community and development of SEN provision Requirements for SEN Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification Previous experience in an SEN setting or with SEND learners as a SEN Teacher is desirable Excellent classroom management and communication skills Understanding of SEN Code of Practice and EHCPs The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Why Join GSL Education?
