St Leger Homes is a social housing provider that manages 20, homes on behalf of Doncaster Council. Providing homes that are modern, safe and decent is our key priority. To enable us to meet this commitment, and to ensure that we fulfil our responsibilities and obligations in relation to damp and mould, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Surveyor that will join our recently created Damp and Mould team.
The successful candidate will play a key part in the delivery of the new dedicated damp and mould service, ensuring that any issues identified are dealt with quickly and effectively. Reporting into the Damp and Mould Manager, the post holder will provide technical advice, guidance and support to customers, undertake investigations and inspections, and complete various surveys as required to support the delivery of business operations. The role will also involve carrying out proactive and preventative visits and inspections to mitigate against the risk of damp and mould, ensuring the completion of all appropriate paperwork and updating electronic records as needed. The on site management of contractors’ carrying out remedial works on assets is also a requirement. The postholder will work collaboratively with other service areas across the business to provide a joined-up and holistic approach and support for our customers and will possess a positive and customer focused attitude.
