Working Hours & Location Shift pattern: 40 hours per week (Mon - Fri) Salary: £32 000.00 Location: Eccles, Manchester Company van 21 days holiday Bank holidays About the Role As a Site Supervisor, you will b e responsible for leading operational teams within the tankering team, ensuring seamless end-to-end management of all works while delivering an exceptional customer journey. You will ensure everyone within your team is performing their responsibilities. Your responsibilities will also include carrying out site inspections, coordinating the crews from your depot, managing any fleet issues as well as evaluating employee performance. Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally. Experience and ability to encourage and enable personal development. Work closely with planning and scheduling teams to ensure effective resource allocation, job prioritisation, and workforce coordination. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Lanes Group and its customers. Leads and controls operatives engaged in all activities Ability to optimise resources by ensuring that the work is scheduled out appropriately with the assistance of the scheduling team. Responsible for managing the teams fleet/plant and material requirements to ensure efficient and timely completion of the works. Able to demonstrate good organisational skills, following policies, procedures, and work practices, and developing improvements where necessary. Commands respect of their workforce and develops excellent working relationships with all other department personnel as well as client management. Must be a confident communicator to liaise both with internal and external clients. Able to give instructions in an efficient and effective way to the workforce and responsible for the daily management of the teams. Ensures that work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment, and materials. Prevents wastage and misuse of equipment, materials, and tools. Supervises work crews to best utilise manpower and materials, exercises discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness. Familiar with all HS&E also Quality procedures, regulations and strictly enforces them with the workforce under their responsibility. Responsible for the day to day well being of the teams under your control i dentifies, formulates, and implements training programs for the workforce under his responsibility. Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents About You We are looking for individuals who: Possess previous experience of supervision ideally within the utilities / tankering industry Hold a full UK driving license, with no more than 6 points. This role is about managing people, so previous managerial experience is essential. We aspire to get the best out of all our employees & you will be key to this! Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks. Exceptional customer service skills. Have excellent time management skills, with ability to deliver tasks to deadline Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving targets. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on achieving results. Proven experience in a previous Supervisor Role within the Utilities Sector – preferably in the Drainage Industry.
