Job Overview
InterGame Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Office Manager with a strong understanding of accounting, finance and management principles and good communication skills to join the accounts department of its international publishing office based in Oldham.
The role involves responsibility for managing all daily transactions within the accounts office as well as providing management reports on a weekly and monthly basis. This is a hands‑on position, so applicants should have a good working experience of all aspects of the day‑to‑day running of the accounts side of the business. We are a long‑established and profitable business with existing systems and procedures in place. The position is for a full‑time office‑based manager, although part‑time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Manage the daily activities of the accounts office, ensuring that all month‑end and year‑end activities are completed accurately and on time.
* Monitor and analyse data and produce reports on a weekly and monthly basis for management meetings.
* Maintain accurate and complete financial records and participate in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
* Prepare monthly accounts (P&L and balance sheet) for three companies.
* Prepare and submit information to statutory authorities including HMRC.
* Liaise with professional services such as accountants and solicitors on behalf of the business.
* This role also involves some administration duties performed alongside the accounts duties.
* Have a minimum of three years’ experience in an accounts office environment.
* Have a background in bookkeeping/accounting.
* Experience with Sage Line 50 is an advantage, but experience with an accounts package on a day‑to‑day basis is essential.
* Demonstrate a high level of efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail.
* Show professional, enthusiastic and common‑sense problem‑solving skills.
* Have good interpersonal, spoken and written communication skills.
* Possess good organisational and time‑management skills.
* Be able to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards.
* Be self‑motivated and able to prioritise tasks with minimal supervision.
* Be IT‑literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office and willing to learn new systems or software.
