Position Overview of Business Development Manager
We are seeking a Business Development Manager with the drive and determination to grow Daher Aerospace’s Logistics Division in the UK. This individual contributor role focuses on acquiring new clients, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding our presence in the aerospace, manufacturing, services, and defense sectors. Reporting to the Business Development Director in France and working closely with the UK Country Managing Director, you will play a key role in developing strong customer relationships, contributing to commercial strategy, and driving sustainable growth through innovative 3PL logistics solutions.
Responsibilities of Business Development Manager
* Contribute to the formulation and execution of commercial strategies through market research and analysis of industry trends.
* Proactively identify and engage prospective customers within the UK Market, developing tailored sales strategies to meet their needs.
* Present the company’s commercial offering and collaborate with the technical department to build a tailored solution that aligns with the needs and expectations of potential customers.
* Collaborate with internal teams to define commercial targets and support the overall business development process.
* Drive business growth by identifying opportunities for additional services, contract renewals, and new product offerings for existing accounts.
* Provide market insights and assist in the research and development of new products by sharing customer feedback and industry knowledge.
* Represent Daher Logistics at industry events, trade shows and internal cross-functional meetings to promote the company’s logistics offerings.
* You will build positive and professional relationships with major customers in the industry in the UK to ensure that we delight and provide a positive Customer Experience. Your mission will be to collect and understand the Voice of the Customer and translate comments and areas of improvement into tangible and actionable plans.
* You will support the growth of DAHER UK activities through a collaborative team approach, involving international discussions with DAHER staff in Europe, ensuring that new businesses are gained at the highest possible margins and revenues.
* You will provide regular and accurate sales forecast for the assigned and/or targeted accounts, using our CRM SalesForce. Formulate, develop, achieve the annual sales budget and report variances to plan.
* Your expertise and knowledge of industrial clients & prospects in the UK will enable you to contribute to the development strategy and support the management of key accounts for the region.
* Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, technical experts, and the transversal business development function to ensure a seamless experience for customers and prospects. Lead the commercial offer construction with the support of technical, financial, and operational departments. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to align the logistics division’s objectives with broader company goals.
* Support a VIE, ensuring effective integration into the UK business.
Requirements of Business Development Manager
* Ideally you will have about 10 years’ experience in sales business development, within logistics, aerospace or industry.
* Demonstrable and successful experience in a sales function involving successful negotiations.
* Exemplary communication and management skills in order to deal with complex technical and commercial issues at customers and all internal departments.
* Ability to travel across the UK and possibly overseas, Full clean driving licence and passport.
