An exciting opportunity has arisen at MiNightVet Rotherham (based in Springfield Vets, Rotherham, South Yorkshire) for a part-time vet to join our team, working 1 week in 6 (7 nights on 35 off). Salary up to £80,000 FTE commensurate on experience.
Overview
MiNightVet Rotherham operates as an integral part of the 24hr practice team. As an AP-led ECC service, we have a strong emphasis on providing a continuous, compassionate, quality service around the clock. We provide OOH care for Springfield Rotherham and the OOH service for other Springfield branches and CVS/non-CVS member practices. The majority of cases remain in our hospital until discharge, allowing you to be involved in care and see cases through to completion.
About the role
We are keen to support our team members in the development of their clinical skills. Our hospital is well-equipped with a CT scanner, endoscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasonography, and extensive laboratory equipment. The team includes Advanced Practitioners in medicine, surgery, cardiology and ECC, plus 2 RVNs and a twilight vet. The current vacancy is to work a run of 7 nights every 6 weeks. There is potential for additional shifts within CVS or a mix of day and night work for the right candidate.
Responsibilities and requirements
* Work a run of 7 nights every 6 weeks (OOH duty).
* Good communicator and team player; able to work sole charge.
* 2 years in small animal clinical practice in the UK.
* Prior OOH experience is desirable but not required.
* Engage in continuous professional development and clinical skill development.
Salary and benefits
* Salary up to £80,000 FTE, dependent on experience.
