Job Description
The Senior Legal Counsel will be:
3. Structuring, negotiating, and documenting growth equity and fund investments
4. Advising on legal risk and governance for investment transactions
5. Leading due diligence, managing external counsel, and coordinating with internal stakeholders
6. Providing commercial legal advice across corporate, public law, compliance, and contracts
7. Supporting and evolving legal policies and frameworks
8. Presenting to senior committees and boards on legal matters
The Successful Applicant
The Senior Legal Counsel should be:
9. A qualified corporate solicitor (or equivalent) with a background in private practice or In-house
10. Experienced in growth equity transactions
11. Comfortable leading complex legal work streams and managing external legal panels
12. Adept at stakeholder engagement, influencing senior decision makers, and board reporting
13. Ties to Leeds and able to work 3 days in the office
