TBusiness Development Manager – CDMO
Location: Scotland
Duration: Permanent
NRL are keen to speak with experienced Business Development Managers for a new position located in Scotland.
The ideal candidate will have experience across both Human and Animal health, and will be well versed in growing a customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and execution of a CDMO commercial strategy, working closely with global internal stakeholders.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients, understanding their evolving needs across pharmaceutical sciences, development, and manufacturing.
* Represent the full-service capabilities of the organisation, identifying opportunities for collaboration from molecule to market.
* Prepare, negotiate, and finalise high-quality proposals and contracts that align with client objectives and revenue targets.
* Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing leaders to deliver cohesive, compelling proposals that reflect an integrated service model.
* Serve as a key liaison for addressing client challenges, partnering with internal scientific teams across global sites to provide solutions and secure new business.
About You:
* Proven success in business development within the pharmaceutical, CDMO, or animal health sectors, ideally with experience in commercial manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of the global animal health sector, with an understanding of veterinary regulatory affairs, clinical development, and product development.
* Extensive network within animal health.
* Skilled in influencing and negotiation, with the ability to create awareness and demand across diverse client groups.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver strong presentations and develop winning proposals.
* Collaborative, professional, and able to build trust across cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
* Commercially minded, results-driven, and proactive in managing client relationships.
