Overview
Sandwell Children’s Trust is recruiting for a full-time Service Support Assistant, supporting Smethwick & Oldbury Services. The role entails providing extensive administrative support to practitioners within the Strengthening Families Services and working closely with the six localities. The successful candidate will be managing and triaging allocations of new children known to the service and arranging the TAF meetings. You will work closely with partner agencies such as schools, ensuring demographic data and the child’s file is accurate, adhering to GDPR, arranging required meetings and supporting with minute taking and compiling closure letters to families.
Hours - 37 per week. Hybrid Working.

Responsibilities
* Provide extensive administrative support to practitioners within the Strengthening Families Services and work closely with the six localities.
* Manage and triage allocations of new children known to the service and arrange TAF meetings.
* Work with partner agencies such as schools, ensure demographic data and the child’s file is accurate, adhering to GDPR.
* Arrange required meetings and support with minute taking and compiling closure letters to families.
Admin tasks
* Setting up Family meetings.
* Completing finance tasks – such as ordering items for the practitioner or the family.
* Ensuring accuracy and consistency of information.
* Updating Children’s Social Care systems.
* Taking and producing accurate minutes.
* Maintaining files and record systems including scanning and uploading documents and ensuring tasks are completed accurately within allocated timescales.
What you need to be successful
* Experience of working in a business admin role.
* NVQ Level 1 in Business Administration or equivalent.
* Experience using Microsoft Office packages.
* Experience of finance and procurement would be an advantage.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good attention to detail.
* Ability to plan and organise diaries; able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Prepared to travel to locations across Sandwell Borough.
