Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support our busy Employment Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands‑on experience in employment law within a well-established and client-focused firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting solicitors with a wide range of employment matters, including both contentious and non-contentious work
- Drafting and preparing legal documents, correspondence, and tribunal bundles
- Managing client files, ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance with firm procedures
- Liaising with clients, counsel, and third parties in a professional and timely manner
- Conducting legal research and summarising findings
- Supporting with Employment Tribunal claims and case preparation
- Handling administrative tasks such as billing, file opening, and diary management
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal (employment law experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
- A genuine interest in employment law and client care
