What's involved with this role: JOB TITLE: Housing Management Officer REF: Darlington 5278898 Pay rate: £16.10 per hour PAYE Contract Type: Temporary, Anticipated 2 to 3 months Working Arrangement: Off ice based only - No Home working. The exact location of working TBC. Basic DBS required In order to apply for this role you will have previous experience in housing management, community engagement, or a related field. The role: On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Housing Management Officer to carry out housing management duties in a specific area of the town, in close liaison and partnership with tenants, residents, members, other sections and departments and voluntary and statutory organisations to promote and develop inclusive and sustainable areas. Key Responsibilities may include: Deliver a comprehensive housing management service within your allocated area, including tenancy management, estate inspections, and resolving housing-related issues. Build strong working relationships with tenants, residents, and local stakeholders to encourage community involvement and address local concerns. Work collaboratively with other Council departments, statutory agencies, and voluntary organisations to support cohesive and thriving communities. Take proactive steps to prevent anti-social behaviour and maintain safe, attractive neighbourhoods. Monitor tenancy conditions, ensure compliance with tenancy agreements, and take appropriate action where necessary. Promote tenant participation and involvement in shaping housing services and community initiatives. Contribute to the development of policies, strategies, and projects that foster sustainable and inclusive housing areas.
