Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) is one of the largest Catholic Charities Agencies providing care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the United States. We are looking for dedicated, caring, and compassionate people to work in our Group Homes.
Position: Operations Manager – Facilities and Fleet
Hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. This is an exempt position. On an Emergency Basis: May be called in to work during emergencies such as inclement weather or structural damage.
Location: Oak Ridge, NJ (Travel required to various locations)
Job Summary:
This position oversees all facilities and fleet management, including performing maintenance tasks under the direction of the administration. The employee will cooperate with agency administration and DHS staff during inspections or investigations. Must meet fingerprinting, background check, and drug test requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee, organize, and schedule repairs and improvements in facilities.
* Oversee, organize, and schedule repairs for agency vehicles.
* Obtain outside estimates for contractor/vendor work and collaborate with maintenance staff.
* Ensure policies are followed for estimates exceeding specified amounts.
* Verify vendor insurance compliance and required documentation before work begins.
* Maintain organized electronic records of estimates and projects.
* Assist with maintenance tasks as needed.
* Run errands as directed by administration.
* Assist with setup and breakdown for agency functions.
* Conduct routine safety checks to prevent hazards.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with at least three years of experience in facility and fleet management. Knowledge of tools and maintenance methods required. Project management experience preferred. Valid driver’s license in New Jersey is required, with the ability to operate agency vehicles.
