Here at Collins Maintenance Repair and Overhaul UK facility in Marston Green, we provide specialist technical support for Electronic Engine Control, Fuel Metering units, Actuators and Pump units widely used in the Aerospace industry.
We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a HR Business Partner to provide a world-class, proactive business partnering that stakeholders cherish.
Role Summary
The HR Business Partner role will have a deep understanding of the business, how it works and where it is going. The HRBP will collaborate with their business areas to utilise their knowledge and expertise to provide proactive and progressive people initiatives in support of the business goals. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will work closely with Line Managers and Senior Leaders to attract, retain and develop the best talent and support our leaders’ journey to embed the organisational values and drive a performance culture across the organisation.
The role requires strong interpersonal skills to ensure a positive relationship is built with your stakeholders and Union, in conjunction with a working knowledge of HR policy and processes. This role will work in a dynamic, fast paced and hands on team.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Develop workforce strategies that ensure future business success by translating the needs of the business into an actionable people strategy.
2. Partner with other functions of the HR operating model including our Centres of Excellence to provide leadership and support in the execution of HR related projects.
3. Drive the talent management process to identify, develop and build the talent pipeline.
4. Act as a trusted advisor and coach to business leaders.
5. Provide insight and guidance to leaders on organizational design, workforce trends and change management best practices.
6. Develop high-impact diversity and inclusion practices that support business priorities.
7. Develop and implement a diverse range of initiatives to enhance employee engagement and overall employee experience.
8. Lead the Early Year Careers strategy and ensure a robust pipeline of talent.
9. Develop strong Union relationships, participating in monthly Union meeting and liaising with the Union, as required, on policy and process updates.
10. Develop and deliver development sessions to upskill employees and people leaders.
11. Develop and maintain HR metrics and analytics to support the business partner role.
12. Support annual compensation and benefit processing.
What you need to succeed?
It is essential that candidates:
13. Hold a minimum of third level qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. HNC, HND or Degree
14. Have a minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a comparable HR role
15. Experience of collecting and analyzing data to identify insights that drive action
16. Strong Microsoft Excel experience.
It is desirable that candidates have:
17. Experience in training and development facilitation
18. Experience of working within a unionised manufacturing environment
19. Hold or be working towards a minimum CIPD Level 5 Qualification
