The Role

We have two full-time vacancies for a Business Support Assistant in Care and Wellbeing. The core focus will be to support our frontline practitioners, enabling them to achieve the best outcomes, prioritise direct work with residents of Cornwall, and ensure timely communication with service users and partner agencies.

Our Working Week Is

Monday – Thursday 08.45 – 17.15
Friday 08.45 – 16.45

Successful applicants will work as part of a team supporting residents across Cornwall through high-quality business support services. Duties include monitoring admin mailboxes, distributing correspondence and reports, records management, meeting administration, detailed recording of complex meetings within strict timescales, financial transactions, and data entry into the Case Management System.

While the specified location/work base is provided, our evolving work practices may require remote work (e.g., from home or other locations). We support flexible working to best serve our people, services, and organisations, which will be discussed during recruitment. There may be a need to support business operations during core hours and attend the office on a rota basis as required.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Applicants should have 4 GCSEs (A-C), or equivalent, including English and Maths, and excellent keyboard skills. Office experience is advantageous. Comprehensive training will be provided, with opportunities for career development once established.

You should have good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, service users, and agencies. A professional approach with discretion and diplomacy is essential. Flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to produce accurate outputs under deadlines are also required.
