My client is looking for a mid–senior Desktop Support Engineer to join a fast-paced technology team supporting a demanding user base in a high-performance environment.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working close to the business, taking ownership of issues end-to-end, and contributing beyond pure support. The role offers exposure to a broad range of technologies and the opportunity to be involved in project work alongside core systems and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality 1st/2nd line desktop and end-user support
* Support Windows 10/11 and the Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive)
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
* Support financial and market data applications (e.g., Bloomberg)
* Perform desk setups, workstation builds, and hardware break/fix
* Work closely with infrastructure and systems teams on upgrades and projects
* Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and automation initiatives
Required Experience & Skills
* 4–12 years of relevant desktop / end-user support experience
* Experience in fast-paced environments; financial services experience preferred but not essential
* Strong Windows desktop support experience and Microsoft stack knowledge
* Excellent troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, and applications
* Comfortable working in smaller, agile teams with a high degree of responsibility
* Exposure to PowerShell scripting is advantageous
* Basic understanding of TCP/IP and general networking concepts
* Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
