This Electrician role will involve a variety of electrical works, with a strong focus on wiring and containment installations in residential, mainly communal areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable Electrician seeking a short-term contract with competitive day rates and travel support for Portsmouth-based candidates. Must live in the Portsmouth area, or on the Isle of Wight. Responsibilities Carry out wiring and containment installations in residential communal areas Complete general electrical installation and maintenance work Install and terminate electrical systems safely and efficiently Read and work from electrical drawings and specifications Conduct testing and inspection where required Ensure all work is completed to current regulations and standards Maintain a safe and tidy working environment Work independently and manage daily tasks effectively Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as an Electrician within residential or commercial environments Strong wiring and containment experience Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good understanding of electrical regulations and safety standards Reliable, organised, and self-motivated approach Strong problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Full UK driving licence preferred Qualifications Required 18th Edition Wiring Regulations City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation AM2 Benefits Competitive day rates Travel costs included for Portsmouth-based Electricians Immediate start available Weekly pay Short-term contract with consistent work opportunities
