As a Care Assistant, you will be a key member of our care team, helping us achieve an excellent standard of care for our residents and promoting the values and ethos of the home.
Responsibilities
* Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, from dressing to staying active, while encouraging independent choices.
* Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident's personal care plan, providing hands‑on help and thoughtful attention to their needs.
* Health & Well‑Being: Monitor residents’ health, communicating concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assisting with calls to relatives or health professionals.
* Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident so they feel valued in every interaction.
* Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
* Safety & Comfort: Work with housekeepers to keep living spaces clean, safe, and comfortable, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking to meet their nutritional needs.
* Spread Smiles: Bring joy to residents’ lives and make them smile every day.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred but not essential.
* Experience: Ideally at least six months as a Care Assistant; we welcome those new to the sector with transferable skills.
* Passion: Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
* Values: Integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork in all tasks.
