Job Specification Description Our client is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their expanding team in Manchester. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, with a focus on existing buildings and operational assets. The position will suit someone passionate about sustainable design, energy reduction, and improving building performance through innovative engineering solutions. You will play a key role in shaping strategies, leading projects, and supporting the transition to a net-zero future. Experience The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrical design engineer, ideally chartered or working towards chartership, with extensive consultancy experience in building services. You will bring proven expertise in refurbishment and fit-out projects, alongside strong technical knowledge across electrical systems, performance design, and contract administration. A background in existing buildings, including property consultancy, due diligence, or energy optimisation, is highly desirable. Strong organisational and communication skills, combined with the ability to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and build lasting client relationships, will be key to success in this role.
