Key Responsibilities of the Construction Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging lessons across construction-related subjects. Teach practical and theoretical skills, ensuring alignment with the curriculum and industry standards. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare learners for assessments or qualifications. Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment. Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and support students’ career aspirations in construction. Requirements: Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, or equivalent). Sound knowledge of construction practices and health & safety standards. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Passion for helping students develop vocational skills and confidence. Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
