Court of Protection Associate / Senior Associate (NQ + )

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a leading national law firm’s Court of Protection team, based in Birmingham. The firm is widely recognised for its client-focused approach, inclusive culture, and commitment to colleague wellbeing and development.
This role offers the chance to work alongside a highly experienced Partner within a specialist Court of Protection practice, handling complex and high-value matters while also taking on leadership responsibility within a growing team.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied and often complex Court of Protection caseload, including:
* Property and affairs applications
* High-value and complex deputyship matters
* Trust, statutory will and damages management work
* Acting as a key contact for clients and referrers
* Supporting Partners with business development activities
* Coaching, mentoring and supervising junior team members
You will play a key role in delivering exceptional client service while contributing to the strategic growth of the team.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE
* Demonstrable experience within Court of Protection or a strong private client background with exposure to COP work
* Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
* Confident managing complex caseloads
* Interest in business development and building client relationships
* Personable, collaborative and proactive
