Job Description
Our client is seeking a Branch Operations Manager to take full responsibility for the performance and day-to-day management of their Stoke-on-Trent operation. This role will oversee warehouse, transport, and office functions, ensuring seamless coordination across storage, freight forwarding, and logistics services.
Key Responsibilities
* Take full ownership of branch operations, including warehouse, transport, and office functions
* Lead and develop both operational and administrative teams
* Oversee end-to-end logistics operations across, storage, and freight forwarding
* Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including planning and scheduling
* Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain inventory accuracy and effective storage solutions
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and operational regulations
* Oversee packing standards and quality control across all shipments
* Coordinate with transport, export/import, and customer service teams
* Manage branch budgets, costs, and profitability targets
* Handle client escalations and maintain high service standards
* Monitor and report on KPIs and overall branch performance
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a branch, depot, or operations management role within logistics or relocation
* Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and freight forwarding processes
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing multi-functional teams
* Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and performance
* Experience with WMS and logistics systems
