Offer description

Together we are Trusted to Serve Scotland.  Howâs this for job satisfaction? At Scottish Water we look after Scotland's most precious n atural resource. From source to tap, weâre guarding Scotlandâs reputation for refreshingly pure water, and caring for our environment at the same time. Sound good? We're looking for a Performance Analyst focusing on the HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) project within our Customer Vehicle Team. This is a fixed term role until March 2027. What you'll do Youâll lead the delivery of the HVO project within our Customer Vehicle Team, an important part of Scottish Waterâs commitment to sustainability and operational excellence. Youâll coordinate across teams, manage timelines, and make sure the project runs smoothly from start to finish. Youâll dive into the data - analysing performance, spotting trends, and keeping an eye on how weâre performing against key frameworks, KPIs, and regulatory requirements. Youâll turn that information into clear reports and insights that help drive good decisions and continuous improvement. Youâll be at the heart of promoting the use of HVO across our operational teams, helping colleagues understand its value and making it easy to adopt. Along the way, youâll work closely with internal and external partners to make sure the project delivers what it sets out to achieve. Behind the scenes, youâll manage large and sometimes complex data sets from fleet management and corporate systems, ensuring everything is accurate, up to date, and ready for reporting. What you'll need Youâll have solid experience in project management, ideally from a technical, operational, or sustainability-focused environment. Youâll be confident using data to tell a story, with experience analysing large data sets and creating reports that drive performance. Youâll be great at communicating with different people and working collaboratively across teams. Youâll be comfortable influencing and engaging others, especially when introducing new initiatives. If youâve worked on fleet, transport, or sustainability projects before, even better. Experience with compliance or regulatory frameworks would also be a plus. Most of all, youâll be proactive, organised, and driven by making things better. Youâll enjoy using your analytical skills to help make real-world improvements for our customers, our teams, and the environment. Looking out for you ⯠  While the work we do is important, we know itâs not the only thing that matters. Thatâs why we make sure you have everything you need to find a good work-life balance.⯠  Youâll get plenty of time to recharge with 38 days of holiday every year (including public holidays). And you can even buy five more if you need a little extra time. You can also take paid time off to volunteer in your community.⯠ ⯠ When it comes to major life events we have family-friendly policies around adoption, maternity, and parental leave. And for the everyday? We embrace flexible working.â¯â¯   For your future, thereâs our pension (the âknow-what-youâll-get-when-you-retireâ kind), as well as life assurance.â¯â¯   As for some nice extras? You can expect an annual company bonus. Not to mention access to SW Splash â handy rewards that can save you money on holidays, bills, and shopping.⯠  The not-so-small print ⯠  This role will be a Grade 6. If youâre new to Scottish Water, youâll join us on a starting salary of £36,410. Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of £46,990. This role will be based in Central Scotland.  If youâre interested in this role â or know someone else who might be - weâll be accepting applications until midnight on Thursday 20th November.  We operate Balanced Hybrid working at Scottish Water and we encourage people to work half their time in a Scottish Water location.  Job offers at Scottish Water are conditional, and will be confirmed on completion of our pre-employment screening, e.g. referencing, criminal record checks, license checks, etc. Screening is conducted on our behalf by a third party, and must be completed before your start date. Donât worry - weâll only start these checks once youâve accepted an offer. ⯠A few final things worth knowing⦠ Research shows that some people avoid applying for jobs unless they can meet every single criteria. If youâre interested in this job, but donât tick all the boxes, apply anyway! We hardly ever hire people who can do every part of a job from Day One. Everyone has a learning curve. So donât rule yourself out!  Let us know if there are any changes we can make to our recruitment process to help you perform at your best. Lots of our people have disabilities or neurodiverse conditions (including some of our recruiters!). We're also aware that some people might be experiencing temporary challenges because of life events, like menopause. Weâre very used to making adjustments, so please donât be afraid to ask.  As part of our commitment to developing a flourishing Scotland, itâs important that all our employees are Scottish taxpayers. If you join us, your home address will need to be in Scotland. If you donât already live here, you'll need to commit to moving here within your first three months. Please note, Scottish Water takes the safety, health and wellbeing of our employees, colleagues and customers very seriously and as such you may be subject to Drug & Alcohol testing in line with our policy. Finally (finally!), candidates who havenât submitted an application in the last 12 months will have their records removed from our recruitment database. You wonât need to do anything. Your data will be automatically deleted. Weâre here to help. Ask us anything a t SWRecruitment@ScottishWater.co.uk Â
